Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 12, 2026 · SpcJenn LLC · plantapgo.com
Thank you for using WayPoint, a multi-stop route planning app for Android and iPhone, developed and operated by SpcJenn LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information WayPoint uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. By using WayPoint, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The short version: WayPoint has no user accounts, no ads, and no analytics. Your routes, places, and settings are stored on your device. SpcJenn LLC does not run servers that collect your data and cannot see what you save in the app.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
WayPoint saves the following on your device so the app works the way you left it:
- Stops in your current route — business name, street address, city, state, and completion status
- Your origin (My Origin) and Home address
- Saved Places, including any category icons you choose
- Saved Routes
- Stop History (your completed stops)
- Autocomplete suggestions from names and addresses you have entered
- App settings and your subscription status (Basic or Pro)
On Android, this data is stored in the app's private storage. On iPhone, it is stored in the app's private storage and an App Group shared only with WayPoint's own Share extension. Other apps cannot read it.
Deleting data:
- iPhone — deleting WayPoint deletes all of its data from the device.
- Android — you can clear WayPoint's data in Android Settings → Apps → WayPoint → Storage → Clear data. See Section 5 about Android backups.
2. Location
WayPoint asks for permission to use your device's location. It uses your location only while you are using the app, for features such as:
- Setting My Origin or your Home address when you tap the GPS button
- Setting a starting point when you tap Navigate and no origin is set
- Finding nearby matches when a business has several locations
- Calculating drive time and distance between stops
WayPoint does not track your location in the background and does not keep a history of your movements. Your location is not sent to SpcJenn LLC. When a feature needs a map search or directions, your location may be sent to Apple or Google as part of that request (see Section 4).
You can deny or turn off location access at any time in your device settings. WayPoint still works for planning; you will just need to type your origin.
3. Addresses You Share into WayPoint
You can send addresses to WayPoint from other apps using your device's Share button — for example Google Maps, Apple Maps, Zillow, Contacts, Notes, Messages, or websites. WayPoint reads only the item you choose to share, pulls out the name and address, and adds it to your app. It does not access your contacts, messages, or other app data on its own.
Some shared links (such as Google Maps short links) must be opened over the internet to find the address they point to. When this happens, WayPoint contacts the service that created the link.
4. Third-Party Services
WayPoint does not include advertising networks, analytics, tracking tools, or social media plug-ins. It does use these services to do its job:
- Apple (iPhone) — Apple Maps search (MapKit) to look up businesses and addresses, and Apple directions to calculate drive time and distance. Search text and location may be sent to Apple. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
- Google (Android) — Android location services; Google Places search to help you pick the right business when a name matches several locations; and address lookup. Search text and approximate location may be sent to Google. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Navigation apps — When you tap Navigate, WayPoint opens your navigation app and passes it the destination address. On Android this is Google Maps. On iPhone you can choose Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze. That app's own privacy policy applies from that point on.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — These handle Pro subscription purchases. See Section 7.
WayPoint does not sell, rent, or trade your information, and SpcJenn LLC does not receive the searches or addresses you send to these services.
5. Backups
Android: If Google backup is turned on for your device, Android may include WayPoint's app data in your device backup to your Google account. That backup is handled by Google, not SpcJenn LLC, and lets your data come back when you reinstall WayPoint or set up a new phone. You can manage this in Android Settings → Google → Backup.
iPhone: WayPoint does not currently back up your data to iCloud. If a future version adds iCloud backup, we will update this policy, and that data would be stored in your own iCloud account, not on SpcJenn LLC's servers.
6. Sharing Routes and Places
When you use Share Route or Share Place, WayPoint creates a link (on plantapgo.com) that contains the stop names and addresses you chose to share. You decide who receives it — by text, email, or any other app.
Please keep in mind:
- Anyone who has the link can see the stops in it.
- The stop details are part of the link itself; SpcJenn LLC does not store a copy.
- plantapgo.com is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may record basic technical information (such as IP address and the page requested) when a link is opened. See GitHub's privacy statement at docs.github.com/site-policy/privacy-policies.
Our download page (plantapgo.com/get) may include a simple "source" tag in its address (for example, which ad or QR code you came from) to help us understand which promotions work. This does not identify you personally.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
WayPoint Pro is purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes your payment. SpcJenn LLC never receives your name, card number, or billing address. WayPoint only receives confirmation of whether your Pro subscription is active, so it can turn Pro features on. Promotional codes are redeemed through the App Store or Google Play in the same way.
To manage or cancel a subscription, use your App Store or Google Play account settings.
8. Information We Do Not Collect
SpcJenn LLC does not collect:
- Your name, email address, or phone number through the app (unless you email us yourself)
- Your location history or movement patterns
- Usage analytics or crash data sent to us
- Advertising identifiers
- Payment card details
9. Children's Privacy
WayPoint is not directed at children under 13, and SpcJenn LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example, by email), contact support@plantapgo.com and we will delete it.
10. Emailing Us
If you contact us at support@plantapgo.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to answer you and do not share it or add you to any mailing list without your permission.
11. Your Choices
- Turn location access on or off in your device settings
- Delete individual stops, routes, places, or history inside the app
- Clear all data (Android) or delete the app (iPhone) to remove everything stored on your device
- Manage Android backups in your Google settings
- Contact us with any privacy question
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when WayPoint changes or when laws require it. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use WayPoint after an update means you accept the updated policy.
